Kilmarnock man threatened to kill partner and poured liquid over her

A Kilmarnock man was found guilty of assaulting and threatening to kill his partner.

Kyle Brown appeared in the town’s sheriff court last week and denied any wrongdoing.

But the 22-year-old was found guilty of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and assaulting his partner following trial.

Brown, of MacBeth Drive in New Farm Loch, presented a bar stool at the woman, pushed her and caused her head to hit the wall, seized hold of her hair, bit her on the body, threw a mirror at her and poured liquid over her.

He then placed his hands around her neck and threatened to kill her.

Brown shouted, swore and made threats before throwing a glass bottle at a wall which caused it to smash.

He also broke items of crockery and glass.

Sheriff Elizabeth McFarlane deferred sentencing until next year for reports to be prepared.
