Kilmarnock man and his dog attacked by unattended Staffie

Police are appealing for information after a dog attacked a man and his pooch in Kilmarnock last week.

Described as a Staffordshire Bull Terrier-type dog, the 59-year-old man was bitten along with his own small pet.

The man was bitten on the arm, while his dog had its ears attacked by the unattended animal.

The incident took place on Amlaird Road, Kilmarnock on Friday, September 27 at around 6.45pm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Muir on the non emergency 101 number with the crime reference number of 2040 of September 28.
