Kilmarnock loanee Greg Kiltie costs punter almost £250k with goal against bitter rivals Ayr United

Greg Kiltie's equaliser against Ayr United cost a punter almost £250,000.

The Kilmarnock star, who is on loan at Greenock Morton , scored in the 1-1 draw at Somerset Park last night.

The betslip contained a whopping 18-fold accumulator, which would have returned a mouth-watering £237,907.15 from a £5 free bet, but Ayr United were the only team on the slip who failed to win.

Ayr United opened the scoring after 21 minutes thanks to a Lawrence Shankland penalty, and when Watford went ahead of Fulham after 23 minutes the punter would have started to dream.

But Ryan Babel equalised for the London side just after the half-hour mark, before Watford restored their lead on 63 minutes.

But the sickening blow came after 71 minutes when Greg Kiltie fired home and sealed a much-needed point for Morton who are fighting the drop.

Kiltie even took to Twitter to reply to fans who had messaged him about the betslip.

He said: "I'm gutted for the boy I really am.

"That is soul destroying for them not gonna lie."

Cash out was unavailable on the best due to handicap markets being on the betslip, Skybet do not offer cash out on these markets.
