Kilmarnock KFC fans cause huge queues as drive-thru reopens

Huge queues have started forming at Kilmarnock's KFC after it reopened today.

The fast-food restaurant only reopened at 12 noon this afternoon and massive queues have already started to form.

In the first half-hour of it opening, one eyewitness reported seeing at least 40 cars parked up waiting for food from the Queen's Drive eaterie.

Vehicles are snaking round the adjacent retail park while they wait to get served.

The restaurant itself is closed to the public and orders can only be collected via the drive-thru.

KFC is one of the first fast-food chains to reopen after closing down operations in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Kilmarnock's Burger King is also set to reopen for drive-thru orders on Monday.

McDonald's restaurants are also expected to be opened at the beginning of June.
