An Ayrshire fast food restaurant has pulled down the shutters as it enjoys a makeover.
KFC Kilmarnock hasn't been open for business this week with a sign outside the eaterie stating that the premises are closed.
The drive-thru was blocked off and a number of vans and workers in hi-vis vests and hard hats were spotted removing chairs and other items.
The move comes four months after extension plans for the Queen's Drive venue were given the go ahead.
In May, East Ayrshire Council rubber-stamped proposals for the fast food joint to build a new dry store and toilets after planners saw no major issues with the makeover.
Blueprints at the time stated that the extension will be at the south-west side of the building where the drive-thru menu currently resides.
The layout of the drive-thru itself will also change with the new lane hugging the perimeter of the site to allow for more cars to queue at the takeaway.
In response, KFC told Ayrshire Live: "Fear not Kilmarnock!
"We’re giving our restaurant a little TLC and a well-deserved makeover. We’ll be closed for a few weeks to extend our drive-thru lane and seating capacity so even more fans can get their fried chicken fix."
