Kilmarnock increase home allocation for Rangers showdown at Rugby Park

Kilmarnock have chosen to further increase the number of tickets available to home fans for Sunday’s clash with Rangers.

Steve Clarke’s side face the Glasgow giants at Rugby Park this weekend as the battle for a Europa League spot reaches its conclusion.

And the Ayrshire club’s directors want as many Kilmarnock fans to fill the ground as possible to roar on their heroes to success.

The Frank Beattie stand had almost sold out its initial capacity but Rugby Park bosses have released more tickets.

A Tweet from the club said: "Additional blocks are now open for Killie fans to get right behind the team at Rugby Park.

"Let's help roar Steve Clarke's side in Sunday's season finale."

Record Sport revealed in April Kilmarnock wanted to slash the away allocation for when Rangers and Celtic come to town.

The Ayrshire side announced earlier last month Rangers supporters would receive around 50 per cent less tickets for their upcoming visit in May as the club plans its 150th anniversary celebrations.

A win for Killie would all but guarantee them third spot and a place in Europe as Aberdeen – who face Hibs – have a worse goal difference.
