The plug has been pulled for good on Illuminight in Kilmarnock.
Organisers have announced this afternoon that due to "ongoing uncertainties" that the annual light show won't be returning again to the Dean Park.
The popular event was axed last year due to the coronavirus pandemic too with more than 125,000 people visiting the park in the three years the show operated.
A statement from the organisers read: "We are sad to report that following the obvious challenges we have all faced over the last 18 months and with ongoing uncertainties for delivering large-scale outdoor events, East Ayrshire Leisure and Unique Events have reached the difficult decision that Illuminight will not be making a return to Dean Castle Country Park this year, or again in the future.
"In only 3 short years Illuminight lit-up Kilmarnock and welcomed over 125,000 visitors to Dean Castle Country Park, creating incredible experiences and memories for so many.
"We would like to thank everyone who joined us at Illuminight for all your support over the years, and thank all the local suppliers, sponsors and event staff for making the event so enjoyable to produce.
"East Ayrshire Leisure Trust is already looking ahead to 2022 with an exciting programme events for the reopening of Dean Castle next year, with details to be announced."
