Kilmarnock Game store to close its doors for the final time

Kilmarnock's high street was dealt a further blow today.

Game have announced this evening that their Kilmarnock store will close down for good.

A statement on the firm's Facebook page said that October 12 would be the final day of trading for the King Street retailer.

Customers who have placed deposits on games will still have pre-orders honoured at the Irvine store.

The statement read: "It is with great sadness that we wish to let our customers know that GAME Kilmarnock will be closing its doors on October 12.

"We want to thank all our loyal customers who have shopped with us over our many years here in Kilmarnock.

"For any customers who have deposits on games released after this date, your pre-orders will still be honoured and will be available to pick up from the Irvine store. All warranties will still be valid.

"If you have any other questions please pop in store and speak to a member of staff."
