Angry Kilmarnock fans hung a banner outside Rugby Park after the Ayrshire side slipped back into the play-off spot.
A 2-0 defeat at Motherwell saw Tommy Wright 's men drop into 11th place and survival is now out of their hands.
Even two wins against St Mirren and Hamilton would only guarantee a play-off spot, with automatic relegation still on the cards.
It comes just two years after Killie finished third under Steve Clarke and fans have shown their anger with a pointed banner outside Rugby Park.
Following the defeat to Motherwell a message reading "we're still fighting... are you?" was hung across from the main entrance to the stadium.
And their anger was shared by manager Tommy Wright after the game as he admitted his side didn't deserve anything.
He said: "I think Motherwell deserved to win the game.
"I thought they started both halves better than us, and particularly the second half is a problem we've had since I've been here.
"We got what we deserved today.
"We've put ourselves in a position where we've got to rely on other results but the performance didn't deserve three points today so I've no qualms about the result."
