Kilmarnock fans face scrap for tickets as Europa League game is at 1700 seater Belle Vue

Kilmarnock's Europa League qualifier with Connah's Quay Nomads will be played in front of less than 2000 seated fans.

We told earlier that it was expected to be played at Rhyl's Belle Vue which seats 1720, and the Welsh side have confirmed the news.

They were working with Killie to try and get it played at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground which holds 10,771.

But Wrexham are relaying turf meaning the ground is unusable.

Nomads' Media Officer said: "We can now confirm the game will definitely be played at Rhyl's Belle Vue.

"The Welsh FA had conversations with Wrexham on our behalf, but unfortunately the pitch is being relaid so won't be available on time.

"We went for that option as a potential because of the amount of supporters Kilmarnock might be bringing down.

"But we can confirm it will be at Belle Vue on Thursday, July 11 with the return leg a week later at Rugby Park."

Tickets information for Killie fans it yet to be released, but many fans are expected to be disappointed.
