Kilmarnock defender Stuart Findlay could be drafted back in for Scottish Cup clash

Alex Dyer has hinted that Stuart Findlay could make a Kilmarnock return earlier than expected – even tomorrow.

The Scotland centre-back was set for a February return from injury after being out since October but he has recovered well and the Rugby Park boss is happy with his training levels.

And the new gaffer says that he has no problems calling on Findlay for this weekend's Scottish Cup clash with League Two Queen's Park if needed.

Dyer said: "There's not really a time frame on Stuart's recovery as such.

"He has been training and he is nearly there, so we will see tomorrow.

"Since we have been back from the break he has trained very well, so I have got no qualms with putting him in tomorrow if needed.

"I have had the go-ahead from the physio, and he feels good, so I can play him if I have to."

And Dyer added of the rest of the team: "The squad is looking okay, injury-wise.

"There is one or two players that we are assessing overnight, that's where we are right now."
