Lee Hodson says he understands why Kilmarnock fans have been brassed off with their stuttering side recently.
Killie supporters made their displeasure known on Saturday with a number of chants aimed directly at manager Tommy Wright following their 1-0 Championship defeat to Raith Rovers.
And defender Hodson knows that fans are going to be fuming with the form – with the Ayrshire side losing four of their last five matches.
But he says it’s time to switch focus and aim to bag three points against Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday and kick-off a winning run.
Speaking to the Kilmarnock Standard, Hodson said: “Obviously the fans are frustrated, they want to come and watch their team win like any fan does.
“We are just as frustrated with not winning games, but the fans have been great.

“They have pulled us through a number of games, they have backed us all over the country.
“Fans will be frustrated, but honestly we want to win as much as they do.
“Hopefully we can get ourselves going with a win this weekend which would be the best start to the festive period.
“I’m sure the fans would be delighted if we got the win on Saturday and it started a run of victories.”
He added: “It’s hard for fans to see their team lose, but all we can ask is keep sticking by us and we will work as hard as we can to turn these results round.
“We still have more than half the season to do that, we know what we need to do – so we have to make sure we do everything right to make it happen.”
Hodson says it’s time to look forward rather than back.
The Kilmarnock defender knows his side has been underperforming and that recent results have been nowhere near good enough.
But he says it’s a case of looking at what’s coming up as he points to a busy festive period on the calendar.
Killie’s next five games are against the bottom five teams in the Scottish Championship – and Hodson is hoping it’s the perfect opportunity to get a run going.
One crumb of comfort fans can take heading into this run is that Killie have won eight out of their nine games against the bottom five – with one draw and no defeats.
That draw did come against Dunfermline, but it was a stoppage-time equaliser from the Pars.
Ahead of Saturday’s clash, Hodson said: “It’s obviously disappointing, no one likes losing, but we still have over half the games of the season left.
“There are plenty of points to pick up, it was only two months ago that we closed a five points gap within a week.
“We have got more than enough games to catch up, we can’t dwell on it too much, games come thick and fast especially over Christmas.
“We need to get back on the training pitch and have a good week before trying to get ourselves back on track this weekend.”
He added: “This is a difficult league, you look at Inverness dropping points when we had to make up ground on them.
“We know teams around us will drop points, so it’s down to us to get a good run going and a few wins on the bounce to hopefully get us back up there.
“If there was only a couple games left you’d be more disappointed, but there are plenty of points to play for and we will do all we can to get back to where we want to be.
“I’d like to think we can pick up as many points as possible over the next few games.
“It’s down to us to keep working hard on the training pitch and then translating what we do into a game.”
Hodson is expecting a tough clash against the Pars who are likely to make it difficult for Killie.
He said: “Their new manager has only been there for a few weeks, so people are still fighting for their places.
“They are fighting around the bottom so they will come here all guns blazing going for it.
“But we just need to focus on us, and make sure we do our jobs right.”
