Kilmarnock close in on double signing of Kwame Thomas and Harry Bunn

Kilmarnock are closing in on a double signing swoop ahead of their Scottish Cup clash with Queen's Park.

Kwame Thomas and Harry Bunn are well on the radar for the club as boss Alex Dyer hopes to bag their signatures.

Bunn, most recently at Bury, is a forward who can play as a striker and on the left wing.

The 27-year-old is a Manchester City youth product and he played at Huddersfield Town for the majority of Dyer's almost three-year reign as assistant boss at the Terriers.

He has had loan spells at Rochdale, Preston North End, Oldham Athletic, Crewe Alexandra and Sheffield United.

Meanwhile, Thomas is a tall, powerful striker who most recently played for Doncaster Rovers.

At 6ft 3in, the 24-year-old hitman has represented England at Under-16s, Under-17s and Under-20s, scoring at all age levels.

He played in the Championship for Derby County and in League One with Coventry City, where then-manager Tony Mowbray said: "He has a lot of assets and it's a question of moulding him in the right way because I think he's got the potential to be a really good footballer."

So far, it has mainly been outgoings for Killie who have released Simeon Jackson as well as sending Osman Sow and Liam Millar back to their parent clubs.

They brought Greg Kiltie back from a loan spell at Championship Dunfermline Athletic before Dom Thomas went the other way until the end of the season.
