Kilmarnock charity bag generous donation to enhance hospital experience for children

The Crosshouse Children’s Fund has received a £3,000 donation.

NFU Mutual agents and their staff at the Kilmarnock office nominated the charity to receive cash from a national £1 million pot which was launched by the organisation’s head office.

The donation will allow the fund to support frontline NHS staff during the Covid-19 crisis and enhance hospital experiences for babies and children.

The charity will also be able to improve NHS staff wellbeing rooms and provide play materials for children in hospital and emergency care packs for parents and carers faced with an unexpected stay in hospital with their child.

William McGowan, head of fundraising at Crosshouse Children’s Fund, said: “We are committed to supporting Ayrshire’s children in hospital and the NHS heroes caring for them during this time of crisis.

“We are incredibly grateful to NFU Mutual Kilmarnock for nominating us to receive a donation from their agency giving fund.

“This generosity is more important now than ever before and will go a long way in helping to support those in hospital who need it most.”
