Tommy Wright knows that Stranraer will be no mugs as Jamie Hamill bring his side to Rugby Park.
The former Kilmarnock star will be hoping to guide the Blues to victory against his old team as they eye winning their group.
But the Ayrshire side can also win the group with a victory providing Clyde drop points at Morton.
If Clyde grab all three points then Killie will have to win by three goals more than Danny Lennon's men.
And Wright is expecting a tough battle today against Stranraer.
He said: “I’ve seen Stranraer and Jamie had them playing football from the back, they want to play.
“It’s a great opportunity for them, win and qualify. So they can come and play or come and sit in and try to catch us on the counter attack.”
He added: "Our target is just to win the game, if we win it by a number of goals more than Clyde we know that we qualify.
"If Morton take points off Clyde then we know a win will be enough.
"We have got an opportunity, and it's highly unlikely but eight points might be enough to qualify as a best runner-up, but that's an outside chance so we want to win the game and score as many as possible."
Killie will be without Rory McKenzie, who limped off against Morton, Scott Robinson and Jack Sanders.
Sam Walker is set to start against Stranraer as Wright mulls over who should be No 1 goalkeeper for the league season.
