Kilmarnock boss Tommy Wright confident ahead of relegation play-offs as focus switches to Dundee

Tommy Wright admits he's disappointed that his side will be in the relegation play-offs – but he's confident they'll come through victorious.

The Kilmarnock boss watched his side comfortably dispatch of Hamilton Accies with a 2-0 win but Ross County's 2-1 victory at Motherwell meant the Ayrshire side will take on Dundee over two legs for a spot in the Scottish Premiership next season.

However, Wright is remaining upbeat heading into the do-or-die deciders.

He said: "It's disappointing but we knew the situation before the game.

"They are professional players, they were disappointed in the dressing room, but the focus quickly shifted to the job we have to do against Dundee.

"I am pleased that we are going into the games with the run of form we have been on, we look as if we are a real goal threat.

"Over two legs we will go into it with confidence based on our recent performances.

"We have scored a lot of goals, we are in a good run of form and we will remain positive between now and Thursday."
