Kilmarnock boss Alex Dyer insists his side have what it takes to turn season around

Alex Dyer insists his side have what it takes to turn their season around.

Kilmarnock are joint second-bottom of the Scottish Premiership after failing to score in six of their last seven matches.

But gaffer Dyer is confident his team can provide some festive cheer during a crucial busy period.

They will play four matches in the next 10 days in a run which could define their season.

And the importance of this run is not lost on Dyer.

He said: “It’s a big run coming up, we need to pick up points in these games. If we don’t we are in trouble.

“If we do pick up results then we can turn our season around a little bit.

“A busy run is good if you are winning, but when you are not it’s not.

“They come thick and fast, so if you don’t have time to settle and have a chat with the lads and train then it’s not ideal.

“We just need to have some light training and go again, that’s all we can do.”

He added: “I am confident we can get a good run out of these games, I am sure that we will have enough.

“It’s going to be tough, we will need to work hard but I am confident we can go for it.”
