Kilmarnock Bank of Scotland branch closed due to coronavirus

Kilmarnock’s Bank of Scotland branch has been closed temporarily due to the coronavirus.

Bosses at the King Street outlet say that a “colleague/customer” has been affected by the virus.

Customers that need to use the bank are now required to travel to Irvine in the meantime.

There has been no indication given as to when the branch will reopen.

A statement in the window of the King Street branch reads: “We’ve temporarily closed the branch as we’ve had a colleague/customer affected by the virus.

“We will continue to monitor the situation closely and re-open the branch as soon as we are able to do so.

“If you’ve visited this branch recently please visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus for advice on how best to look after yourself.

“If you need to visit a branch, the nearest one is located at: Irvine.

“Or visit www.bankofscotland.co.uk/branchfinder/search to find another branch near to where you live.

“Alternatively you can access your Bank of Scotland accounts in a way that suits you:

“At your local Post Office, for checking your balance, making withdrawals and paying cash or cheques into your current account.

“By calling telephone banking 24/7 on 0345 721 3141.

“Online at www.bankofscotland.co.uk for managing your accounts from your computer.”
