The family of a man whose body was found dumped in a bin shed in north-west London said his death was a “senseless, evil act”.
Justin Bello, 38, was found by bin-men on St Raphael’s Estate in Wembley, according to witnesses.
Officers were called to Lovett Way and Mr Bello, from Croydon, was pronounced dead at the scene on November 25.
Two men, aged 41 and 48, arrested on suspicion of murder have been bailed to a date later this month.
A 47-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been bailed until January.
Mr Bello’s family said in a statement: “So many lives have been destroyed by this senseless, evil act which took Justin from us and we urge the public to come forward with any information they might have.”
His death was initially treated as unexplained before detectives launched a murder inquiry. It brings the number of homicide investigations launched in London this year to 131 — three fewer than 2018’s decade-high total of 134.
A witness said: “I was told the bin-men found his body when they were emptying them in the morning. It’s just horrific.”
Officers said they are not releasing his cause of death for “operational purposes” but did confirm it was not thought to have been the result of a stab or gunshot injury.
