Killing Eve is officially coming to an end, it has been announced.

The hit show, starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, is instead expected to continue in the form of spinoffs focused on its supporting characters.

This means that the show’s next season – its fourth – will be its last, concluding with eight episodes.

Announcing the news, AMC Networks president of originals Dan McDermott hailed the show, which was originally devised by Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, as “a one-of-a-kind roller-coaster ride that has taken our breath away”.

Oh responded to the news, calling the show “one of my greatest experiences”.

Meanwhile, Comer said: “Killing Eve has been the most extraordinary journey and one that I will be forever grateful for. Although all good things come to an end, it’s not over yet. We aim to make this one to remember!”
