Killing Eve star Jodie Comer bemoans lack of decent Sunday roast in London

Killing Eve star Jodie Comer has revealed there is one downside to her on-screen success – the inability to find a decent Sunday roast.

The 28-year-old from Liverpool, who stars alongside Ryan Reynolds in Hollywood blockbuster Free Guy, says she is yet to enjoy a satisfactory roast in London.

Comer also says she misses her mum's home-cooked meals.

Appearing on the Reign With Josh Smith podcast, Comer said: “I have not found one good roast dinner in London.

“A lot of places give you a big plate you pick off and put on your own plate – I don’t like the sharing thing.

“When I was filming in Liverpool I got to take all of Mum’s dinners with me.

"I took my roast in on a Sunday, then Mum cooked me and Stephen 'scouse' every Thursday.” Scouse is a kind of stew much favoured in Liverpool, which often contains at least meat, onions, carrots and potatoes.

Comer, who plays Villanelle in Killing Eve, is currently filming the show's fourth and final season alongside co-star Sandra Oh.
