Killing Eve season two: Valentine's Day treat for fans as BBC release trailer for new series

Killing Eve fans were reunited with their loves Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer as BBC America released the first trailer for season two on Thursday.

The Valentine’s Day treat follows a short teaser released on Wednesday night, providing our first look at the new run of episodes.

The trailer, which is backed by Addicted To Love, begins with Oh’s character Eve Polastri in fear she has killing her prime target, Comer’s serial assassin Villanelle.

Throughout the minute-long teaser, the two aren’t seen together but it’s clear that this epic game of cat-and-mouse is ready to kick off again.

Alongside the short trailer, BBC America tweeted: “Sometimes they see red. The wait makes them blue. Eve and Villanelle. Are ready for you.”

They also confirmed that the second series will begin in the US on April 7, although a UK airdate is yet to be announced.

In December, the broadcaster revealed the first look photos ahead of the new series, picking up directly after the last episode ended

One image sees Villanelle clutching her blood-soaked stomach in a scene that appears to be set post-finale, which saw Eve stab Villanelle after a nail-biting showdown.

Another shows Eve looking in a state of horror as she soaks in a bath while clutching her legs.

The first series of Killing Eve was hugely popular in the UK, with four episodes making their way into the top 10 requested episodes on BBC iPlayer last year .

After its Saturday night debut, the series was dropped on BBC Three’s section of iPlayer in its entirety. It continued to air weekly on BBC One, too.

Killing Eve returns to BBC America on Sunday April 7. A UK air date is yet to be announced.
