Killing Eve season two trailer: Villanelle shows off her many disguises as she slips away from Eve

Killing Eve has dropped another trailer for the hotly-anticipated series two, set to air in America next month.

After making its trailer debut on Valentine’s Day, BBC America released a second glimpse at the new series to coincide with International Women’s Day on Friday.

The new trailer, backed to It’s Oh So Quiet, givens fans an insight into just how much the second series is set to focus on the consequences of Sandra Oh’s character Eve Polastri’s obsession with ruthless assassin Villanelle, played by Jodie Comer.

The new clip shows off an array of disguises Villanelle has adopted, including dying her hair pink, wearing a black wig and even wearing a horrifying bear mask.

Eve’s boss Carolyn Martens, played by Fiona Shaw, also makes an appearance in the minute-long teaser as she asks the detective if she has “any clue” where Villanelle may have disappeared to.

Keen to keep a low profile, Villanelle is as friendly as ever when a passer-by asks her if she can photograph her outfit for Instagram.

“No, no…of course not. Get a real life,” scolds the villain as the stranger slopes away.

Eve, meanwhile, seems to be struggling to come to terms with losing her tail on Villanelle as she reveals that she “feels like she is losing her mind”.

Last December, the broadcaster revealed the first look photos ahead of the new series, picking up directly after the last episode ended.

One image sees Villanelle clutching her blood-soaked stomach in a scene that appears to be set post-finale, which saw Eve stab Villanelle after a nail-biting showdown.

Another shows Eve looking in a state of horror as she soaks in a bath while clutching her legs.

Killing Eve returns to BBC America on Sunday April 7. A UK air date is yet to be announced.
