Killing Eve returns for season 3 two weeks early

Killing Eve is returning for its third season two weeks ahead of schedule.

The hit crime drama starring Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh will premiere in the US at 9pm on 12 April, on AMC and BBC America. Episodes will be available to stream in the UK on BBC iPlayer the day after - with the premiere arriving at 6am on Monday 13 April.

Episodes will also air weekly on BBC One, starting on Sunday 19 April at 9pm.

Announcing the news on Twitter, BBC America said: "We did promise you gifts. #KillingEve returns two weeks early on Sunday, April 12 at 9pm on @BBCAmerica and @AMC_TVKisses."

Killing Eve is based on the Villanelle book series by Luke Jennings, and tells the story of a protracted psychosexual cat-and-mouse battle between deadly assassin Villanelle (Comer) and dutiful MI5 investigator Eve Polastri (Oh).

The third season will see Fear the Walking Dead's Suzanne Heathcote step in as showrunner.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) still serves as an executive producer on the series, having written much of the first season.
