Killing Eve cat scene outrages Gogglebox fans who demand animal cruelty warning

Gogglebox viewers were left fuming at the Channel 4 show after it aired a "horrific" scene of a cat getting killed.

The popular Channel 4 programme saw fan favourites, which include Leeds sisters Ellie and Izzi, back on our screens as they went on to entertain viewers with their witty reactions.

Things seems to be off to a good start as they started off by sharing their thoughts on Ant and Dec's hit ITV show Saturday Night Takeaway.

Everyone was in stitches as they witnessed Ant and Dec attempt to tap dance while in fancy dress with Peter Sandiford claiming they looked like a “Poundland Johnny Depp".

However fans were left unimpressed once the Gogglebox stars moved on to watch BBC’s hit show Killing Eve.

Viewers witnessed a cat getting killed by psychopath Villanelle played by Jodie Comer.

In the scene, Villanelle briefly sat with the cat, stroking it and saying: "There's nothing to be scared about, we're all friends here."

However, the little moment of affection quickly disappeared when the cat angrily meowed and Villanelle immediately reacted by killing it.

The devastating scenes left Gogglebox viewers feeling “disgusted” and they wasted no time as they rushed straight to social media to complain.

@Beckie_Miller_ Tweeted: “Don’t show that bit! #Gogglebox.”

@demelcy said: “Aww not that scene! #Gogglebox.”

@De4nRyan fumed: “Gogglebox just showed a cat being killed I’m disgusted.”

@shhiinaa wrote: “Did gogglebox say warnings about animal cruelty because if not that's such a horrific thing to show #gogglebox.”

@shhiinaa also added: “So they give us warnings for nudity and not animal death scenes lol okay #gogglebox.”
