Killer husband's visa bid rejected again

A Maltese man who murdered his ex-wife nearly three decades ago has lost another visa ruling. (AAP)

A convicted murderer who dumped ex-wife's body in a Sydney inlet nearly 30 years ago has again failed to have his visa cancellation overturned.

Frederick Chetcuti was jailed in 1993 for 24 years for murdering 47-year-old Gloria Jean Chetcuti. Her body was found weighed down with rocks in an inlet off Parramatta River two years prior.

Chetcuti, 75, was born in Malta and had his visa cancelled in 2017 on grounds including character.

The convicted murderer's repeated attempts to overturn this decision were again knocked back by the Federal Court of Australia on Tuesday.
