This fellow was unlucky when second on debut at Limerick, stretched out well in Bellewstown and, with more improvement expected, should be very tough to beat.
The finale, for amateur riders, features a clash between two 110-rated performers, Max Dynamite and The King. And preference is for Max Dynamite, representing Willie and Patrick Mullins.
A Group 2 winner back in 2015, Max hasn’t tasted success since winning at this venue in August 2017.
But he ran a solid race when third to Cleonte in the ‘Queen Alexandra’ at Royal Ascot in his comeback run and is expected to build on that effort here.
The Joseph O’Brien-trained Tesseract, fifth to Cecil Corbett in the Connacht National in Roscommon, is suggested as an each-way option in Kilbeggan’s Midlands National but this could be a close race.
And Jessica Harrington’s Gambling Mistress, third to Rasiym at Roscommon after a break, looks the best bet on the Kilbeggan card, in the opening mares maiden hurdle, in what looks like a good race.
