'Kill Tory' graffiti sprayed on H&M store in Bristol city centre

The message "Kill Tory" was graffitied on a store-front in Bristol city centre before being painted over.

A worker could be seen daubing paint over the top of threatening graffiti at 1.30pm today (December 11), outside Union Street clothing shop H&M.

It is not known how long the scrawl, which was in red capital letters, had been on the wall.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the force has not received a report of any offence relating to the graffiti.

Bristol Live has approached H&M and the Conservative Party for comment.

It is not the first time controversial anti-Tory graffiti has appeared during the General Election campaign.

Chingford and Woodford Green MP candidate Iain Duncan Smith's office door was graffitied with the words "Tory cuts kill" last month.

The former Secretary for the Department of Work and Pensions branded the act "unacceptable" and said those responsible were "democracy-hating thugs".
