Kill the Bill: Man pleads guilty to offences during Bristol riot

A man has pleaded guilty to two offences committed during the riot in Bristol city centre in March 2021. Henry Olohan, 24, of Montpelier, appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Wednesday (June 29). He admitted charges of affray and criminal damage on what would have been the first day of his trial.

Olohan has been released on conditional bail to attend the same court on July 28 where he will receive his sentence. A total of 18 people have been jailed for offences committed during the riot and bringing the combined prison sentence across all those in prison to 71 years and three months.

Most recently, Francesca Horn, 25, of Picton Street, Montpelier, admitted a charge of violent disorder during the Kill The Bill protests but denied riot. Judge James Patrick, the presiding judge in the riot cases, jailed a tearful Horn for five years and ten months.
