Kilkenny v Clare date, throw-in time, TV and stream information, team news, betting odds and more

After four football quarter-finals last weekend, the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals take place this week.

Kilkenny face Clare in the first of them on Saturday before All-Ireland champions Limerick take on Galway on Sunday.

The Cats defeated Galway to become Leinster champions for the third consecutive year earlier this month, while Clare beat Wexford in a quarter-final clash after finishing third in the Munster Championship table.

Quotes corner

Irish Mirror columnist Davy Fitzgerald: "The TJ Reid conundrum - what are Clare to do with the Kilkenny maestro in Saturday’s All-Ireland semi-final?

"How Clare handle the Kilkenny attack, and Reid in particular, is central to the outcome.

"If John Conlon is centre-back will he mark Reid tight? I don’t believe that he will. In previous games he has sat in the pocket and provided important cover for Clare.

"But if you give TJ space, he’ll hurt you from any distance.

"Clare may assign a midfielder to pick Reid up but that has the potential to cause confusion and destabilise the team elsewhere. It’s no small matter and, from a Clare perspective, one that I’m worried about.

"But if they can get it right, it could be a decisive factor in their favour."

Betting odds

Kilkenny win: 11/8

Clare win: 4/5

Draw: 8/1
