A number of students at a Kilkenny secondary school came in contact with a coronavirus case but can continue going to school.
Fourth-year students at Colaiste Eamonn Ris in Callan are believed to have come into contact with the case while flying back from a trip to Italy.
The students on the trip are thought to have returned on Saturday February 29.
One parent told the Irish Mirror that she is "worried" about sending her kid into school as he suffers from asthma.
Parents received a text message on Thursday morning telling them their students had the "low-risk" contact but can continue coming to school once they aren't showing symptoms.
The text message read: "Students of our school have been identified as having had a LOW RISK contact with a case of Covid 19 during their travels from Italy.
"All have been deemed as casual contact and does not meet the threshold for testing. Advice received from the HSE is all students and staff linked with this trip should be safe to return to school as normal. Any concerns please contact the school office or HSE."
Students were called for an assembly earlier today where they were told some students had shared a plane with a confirmed case of the virus.
They have been told not to panic and to behave as normal, heeding all the advice of the HSE if they feel unwell.
A notification from the HSE to parents reads: "You/your child have recently returned from Italy. They have been identified as having had a low risk contact with a case of Novel Coronavirus.(COVID-19) during your travel from Italy.
"This letter explains what this means and gives information about steps you need to take between now and the end of the monitoring period, which is the 14th if March 2020 inclusive."
Advice has been listed on the letter and further information is on the HSE website on how to check for symptoms of the disease and how to prevent it spreading further.
Classes are continuing in the school this week with the risk not deemed to be enough for students to even be tested.
