A lucky Irish punter pocketed almost €7,000 from a horse racing bet over the weekend.
The anonymous Kildare backer was celebrating after four horses upset the odds on Friday evening at Tampa Bay and Gulfstream.
The punter placed a €0.50 each-way Lucky 15, with the first winner coming from Sovereign Warrior (5/1) in the 20:16 race at Gulfstream quickly followed by Oak Bluffs (7/1) in the 20:49.
It was onto Tampa Bay then for another quickfire double as Cloud Charmer (33/1) won the 20:43 race and finally Unabridged (10/1) landed the 21:15.
When the racing was finished the punter logged backed into their account, they could see that their balance was boosted by a wonderful amount of €6,960.43, all from a stake of €15.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “This win couldn’t have come at a better time so fair play to our Kildare customer for taking such a bold punt. We hope the winnings come in handy over the next few weeks.”
