A Kildare Grandad has been going viral on TikTok with hilarious videos that prove age is just a number.
Billy Kennedy from Kilmeague is on the verge of hitting one million views on his latest TikTok as he gets down with the kids and takes on the latest trends.
His loving granddaughter, Aine Kennedy from Dublin has been recording 81-year-old Grandad Billy throughout the COVID pandemic.
She told Dublin Live: “He was lonely during lockdown, so he stayed with us and that’s when the TikToks started.
“I got him to download TikTok because I knew he’d love it, he loves watching them and he’s addicted to it.
“The first one we did was “It’s Friday again”, and I knew everyone would find it so funny. It was cheering people up in the peak of lockdown, and then we kept it up as something fun to do.
“When I put up the first video I was getting message requests from second cousins saying they were showing the videos to their mams.
“My Grandad does bowling, and people in his bowling were saying that they saw the videos. Ireland is so small and people find out things so fast.
Grandad Billy is really putting the young people to shame on the app as he has been getting on the latest trends with the “Don’t talk to me,” TikTok as well as “Are you on the drink bro?” trend.
Aine said: “He keeps calling me his agent, Kris Jenner is a Momager and I’m like the Granddaughter-ger.
“He loves coming up and asking what TikTok do you have planned for me this week, he gets excited to do it and he gets excited to see how many people have seen it. He asks are we internet sensations yet.
“He’s a great sport, he loves doing TikToks and he loves people saying it to him. After the first video, my neighbour told him that he was “the TikTok superstar.”
