A murder investigation has been launched after a man in his 20s was stabbed to death in north-west London.
Police were called at 7.42pm on Wednesday to a report of a large altercation on Ashmore Road in Kilburn.
Officers attended alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.
Upon arrival, officers found a man, believed to be in his 20s, with a stab wound.
He was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
An investigation has been launched by homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
No arrests have yet been made and enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Chief Superintendent Christina Jessah said: “My thoughts remain with the family of the man who has sadly lost his life overnight.
“Homicide detectives are investigating this tragic case. I would urge anyone who has information about what happened or video footage that could assist the investigation to please get in touch with police.
“I know the concerns that the community will have after this awful incident. There will be a significantly increased police presence in the area while enquiries continue, and I would ask that anyone who has concerns – or has information that could assist detectives – to speak to my officers.”
