Liam McGuinness could only stand and applaud as his Kilbirnie cracks carried out a superb set-piece routine to a tee against Irvine Meadow.
But the Blasties boss admitted a part of him was worried they might make 'an a*se' of it.
Peter McGill, John Scullion and Jamie Longworth combined to convert a creative short corner kick drill that was quite literally straight off the training ground.
The goal put Kilbirnie 2-1 in front in a West Premiership match they ended up winning 3-1.
And McGuinness revealed: "I cant take any credit for it.
"We watched Irvine Meadow at Beith. We knew that they are very big at the back so there's no point flinging corners into the area. The coaches worked on that and it paid off.
"It worked to a tee and it was a fantastic finish from Jamie.
"It's pleasing when it comes off because sometimes you make an a*se of it!"
McGuinness admitted he was surprised to win at Meadow Park.
"I came down here not really expecting to go up the road with three points.
"I would have probably have taken a point but I though the performance justified all three points.
"The boys were different class.
"Second half I don't think Irvine Meadow had a chance from open play which is very pleasing considering Troon scored three against us last week and we looked as if we were open at the back."
McGuinness is now hoping his side can find a level of consistency that has so far evaded them this season.
He added: "I'll expect us to kick on and take three points from Benburb in our next game."
