Troyes defender Boubakar Kouyate is wanted by both Celtic and Rangers according to a French report.
The 23-year-old, nicknamed 'Kiki' is a Malian international and was an impressive performer as his side narrowly missed out on promotion to Ligue 1.
Troyes finished just three points behind champions Lorient, with the season ended early due to the coronavirus crisis.
According to France Football the centre-back is wanted by Lens, but their offer is some way short of the valuation put on Kouyate.
The publication reports that Rangers are interested in the defender, but it's Celtic who are pushing hardest for his signature.
The Hoops have a large French speaking contingent in their squad including Christopher Jullien, Olivier Ntcham and Odsonne Edouard.
Glasgow's big two face some stiff competition though, with both Schalke 04 and Eintracht Frankfurt thought to be interested.
Troyes are hoping to use the competition to push the transfer fee to around €5million (£4.5million), with Kouyate under contract until 2022.
The centre-back previously played for Sporting's B team alongside Ryan Gauld.
He was named on the bench in L'Équipe's Ligue 2 team of the season and despite playing in defence he finished as Troyes' top-scorer with six goals in 18 games.
