Kieran Trippier given go-ahead to play for Newcastle United in FA Cup tie

Newcastle United have been given the green light to play Kieran Trippier in their FA Cup tie against Cambridge United.

He now has international and FA clearance in the clash with the League One minnows.

The England star could start against the U’s and make his debut after his move from Atletico Madrid.

Trippier is eager to get started after a whirlwind week.

He said: “I played 90 minutes only on Sunday.
