New Arsenal arrival Kieran Tierney has said that he will give his all when he puts on a Gunners shirt for the first time.
The full-back was a deadline day signing along with defender David Luiz, arriving from Scottish Champions Celtic for £25m, a record fee for a player from the Scottish league.
Upon his arrival, Scottish international Tierney becomes the first player from his country to play in the first team at the Emirates Stadium since Scott Marshall in 1998 - almost 21 years ago.
Tierney has spoke of his delight to be representing his country at the club.
"It's massive for me as well [being the first Scotsman since 1998]," Tierney told Arsenal Player . "I'm proud and delighted to be here, so it's all good.
"I work hard, that's all I can say: I work my hardest every game, I give all I've got and I wear my heart on my sleeve all the time. That is honestly all I can give."
The 22-year-old is currently undergoing treatment and assessment for injury, which means that he will have to wait a bit longer to make his Arsenal debut, but Tierney is determined to build relationships both on and off the pitch during his debut season at the club.
"I’ll be looking forward to hopefully get a partnership with whoever is on the left and whoever is centre-back - partnerships all over the pitch and friendships too."
