Kieran Tierney set for Arsenal Premier League debut as Unai Emery issues five-word message

Unai Emery has confirmed that Kieran Tierney is finally set for his Premier League debut against Sheffield United on Monday night.

The former Celtic star has been holstered by the Arsenal boss as he regains full fitness from a recent groin injury.

The left-back has impressed in his first two appearances for the Gunners, a 5-0 Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest and a 4-0 Europa League victory against Standard Liege.

Tierney was also involved in a closed doors friendly during the international break in a 2-2 draw against Reading.

And the Spanish manager says he is now ready to make his league bow against the Blades.

He said: "Tierney is ready to play.

"We have two options at left-back. We have a lot of games and we will need every player."

Alexandre Lacazette is also back in training after an ankle injury, but Emery was more cautious about the chances of him featuring against the newly-promoted side.

He added: "Lacazette was first training today and he is feeling well. I don't know if he is ready for 90 minutes or to be on the bench. We are going to decide in the next days."
