Kieran Tierney savours Arsenal FA Cup glory as Gunners fight back to stun Chelsea

Kieran Tierney capped his first season in English football by adding the FA Cup to his trophy cabinet.

The former Celtic defender played 90 minutes as Arsenal came from behind to stun Chelsea at Wembley.

Christian Pulisic edged the Blues into an early lead, jinking past Tierney and clipping home a fine finish.

But the Gunners drew level from the penalty spot after Cesar Azpilicueta dragged down Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the box.

The Arsenal skipper dusted himself down and tucked away the penalty with aplomb.

In a tight contest, Tierney was deployed on the left-hand side of a three-man backline, having earned the trust of boss Mikel Arteta with a string of impressive displays since the Premier League restarted.

And it was his side who got their noses in front after half-time.

A sweeping move found Aubameyang loitering at the back post and the Gabon international sold his man a dummy before dinking the ball over keeper Willy Caballero.

Arsenal were made to wait for their moment of glory as an injury to Pedro saw the match enter over 10 minutes of stoppage time.

But the final whistle capped a fine few weeks for Tierney, whose early months at Arsenal were blighted by injury.

He's since become something of a cult hero with the Gunners' faithful, and another committed and talented display will only endear him further.
