Kieran Tierney's first words after making first Arsenal appearance following injury lay-off

It might have only been an under-23 fixture, but Friday night was one to remember for Kieran Tierney.

The full-back made his first appearance in the red and white of Arsenal after completing his summer switch from Scottish champions Celtic,

It's been a tough time for the Scotland international who has spent the first six weeks of his Arsenal in the treatment after undergoing surgery for an injury picked up last season.

Thankfully after completing his rehabilitation, Tierney was deemed to be fit enough to line up for the Gunners under-23s against Wolverhampton Wanderers in a game which they drew 2-2.

It might not have been the perfect result, but the full-back will be delighted with how the evening panned out after playing 62 minutes of the clash in the midlands.

It was undoubtedly an emotional occasion for the full-back who couldn't hide his delight as he took to Instagram following his appearance.

He said: "Class to be back!

"Congrats on your comeback Hector Bellerin and thanks for helping me settle in!"

His message was a nice touch for his Arsenal teammate who also made his comeback against Wolves, and considering how much time they've spent together over recent weeks, it seems that Tierney and Belleriin might have forged quite a partnership both on and off the field.

Hopefully it's only a matter of time before we see the duo lining up for Unai Emery's side.
