Kieran Tierney's comment to Martin Odegaard sums up his first Arsenal training session

All eyes were on Martin Odegaard as he trained alongside his new Arsenal team-mates at London Colney on Wednesday.

And the Norwegian forward, who has joined the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid until the end of the season, impressed even before the session got underway.

Odegaard was filmed juggling the ball as he made his way onto the pitches in Hertfordshire, before booting it into the air and studying its flight.

The striker then stuck out a foot and effortlessly brought the ball under control, catching the eye of Gunners left-back Kieran Tierney.

Reacting to the moment of brilliance, Tierney could be heard saying: "Ooohhhh what a first touch that is!" while clapping and laughing.

His reaction brought a smile to the face of Odegaard, who continued to impress throughout the session, as a behind the scenes video posted to Arsenal's YouTube page shows.

Arsenal beat Ajax to the loan signing of Odegaard, who spent last season at Real Sociedad.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said: "Martin is of course a player we all know very well. Although still young, he has been playing at the top level for a while."

Speaking about Arteta, Odegaard said: "He seems like a top manager and I liked his ideas, the way he sees football and also the way he is.

"He gave me a great feeling and that was important for me to come here. He was crucial. I think it's a club that really suits me well."
