Kieran Tierney reveals Arsenal dressing room jibes over outstanding strike as he issues Made in Scotland response

Kieran Tierney brushed off the Arctic conditions as the Scot's stunning solo strike inspired Arsenal to a thumping victory over West Brom.

The left-back bagged a first goal of the season via an outstanding run and finish during his side's 4-0 victory over the struggling Baggies.

Relentless snowfall battered the Hawthorns but the 23-year-old insists it's nothing new to him having grown up on Scotland's west coast.

"Playing in Scotland, I'm used to that. A bit of cold weather...", he quipped after the resounding victory.

Tierney then revealed his Arsenal team-mates even had the cheek to label his right footed strike a cross.

He added: "The boys are calling it a cross so I need to go in and see it again, but I'm delighted with the goal."

Mikel Arteta's side have now won three Premier League matches on the spin to reverse a spiral that sparked talk of a relegation fight.

And former Celtic star Tierney insists the Gunners have worked tirelessly to turn it around.

He said: "We wanted to build up wins and points, climb up the table, and the last few games we’ve done that.

"It’s just consistent hard work. We’ve not changed anything. It’s coming together now.

"It's progression. We’re not going to win every game until the end of the season, it’s about building points, getting up the table, catching the team in front of you.

"The next game’s always the most important one."
