Kieran Tierney returns to full training as former Celtic star gets set for Arsenal debut

Scotland star Kieran Tierney has taken part in his first full training session since signing for Arsenal.

The full-back left Celtic to join the English Premier League giants for £25million on August 8.

And now, more than one month later, Tierney has finally hooked up with the rest of Unai Emery ’s stars at London Colney on Thursday afternoon for a full-contact session.

The 22-year-old has been battling back from a double hernia operation he had before Celtic sealed the treble Treble with a Scottish Cup Final win over Hearts at Hampden.

He had also been struggling with a hip injury, with Arsenal originally stating he wouldn’t be back in full training until Ocotber.

But Tierney is back ahead of schedule and although the visit to Watford on Sunday comes too quickly, he is expected to make his debut before the end of the month.

He could pull on an Arsenal shirt for the first time either in the league clash with Aston Villa at the Emirates the following Sunday or Manchester United at Old Trafford one week on.
