Kieran Tierney can't wait to square off against Rangers again - and hopes there are fans back inside Ibrox for Arsenal 's visit.
The Gunners will take on the Premiership champions in a pre-season friendly on July 17 four days after facing Hibs at Easter Road.
Tierney never lost to Rangers during his Celtic career and last played against Steven Gerrard's side in a 2-1 Parkhead win back in 2019.
As a Celtic diehard, you'd forgive the Scotland left-back for being content with empty stands when Arsenal visit later this summer, but he wants to see punters back in their seats.
“I’m buzzing for our game against Rangers, and also the match against Hibs at Easter Road," he told the Scottish Sun.
"I’m sure I’ll get a good reception!
“It will be a great game against Rangers, and hopefully there can be fans inside the ground too.
“I loved playing at Ibrox with Celtic, and it would be nice to get another win there.
“If there were to be Arsenal fans too then it would be a great atmosphere.
"But I know that’s probably unlikely because of the pandemic.
"A lot of my mates back home would want to go to the games if they were able to.
“Those matches against Rangers and Hibs will be very good for us.
“Arsenal always look for the best possible preparation for a new season, and it will be tough for us at Ibrox and Easter Road.
"I’m really excited about playing back up in Scotland again.”
