Kieran Tierney's hopes of a dream end to his time at Arsenal have been dashed.
The Scotland internationalist - who has agreed a pre-contract move to Celtic in the summer - was in the Arsenal squad for the Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain this evening.
Tierney was an unused substitute for Mikel Arteta as Arsenal aimed to overcome a one-goal deficit from the first leg and force their way into the final.
However, the English Premier League side were powerless to beat PSG as the Ligue 1 giants booked their spot in the showpiece final of Europe's elite competition. PSG will take on Inter Milan in the final.
Tierney's Arsenal had harboured ambitions of Champions League glory after their Premier League title campaign was derailed earlier in the season.

Arteta had put emphasis on achieving an accomplishment in the Champions League as a major target for his side.
But, Tierney will not have a shot to become a European champion before he returns to Celtic in the summer.
Fabian Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi were both on target for PSG with Bukayo Saka scoring little more than a consolation goal 15 minutes from time in Paris. The tie ended 3-1 on aggregate.
