Kieran Tierney OUT for remainder of Arsenal's season as former Celtic star dealt huge Scotland Euro 2020 blow

Scotland and Steve Clarke have been dealt a crushing blow for Euro 2020 with the news that Kieran Tierney is set to miss the remainder of Arsenal's season.

The left-back was brought off by Gunners boss Mikel Arteta against Liverpool last weekend following a collision with James Milner.

And after a routine 3-0 win at Sheffield United, Arteta admitted it's not looking promising for the former Celtic star.

He said: "Kieran is out, probably for the season."

Tierney has become a crucial part of Clarke's squad and in his last Hampden outing set up three goals in Scotland's 4-0 rout of the Faroe Islands.

But now it looks touch and go as to whether Clarke will be able to call upon him at this summer's Euros, Scotland's first tournament finals in 23 years.

The only saving grace is that the squad is well-stocked with left-backs as Liverpool star Andy Robertson continues to hold the captaincy.

Current Celtic defender Greg Taylor is also a squad regular while Hibs teenager Josh Doig is an up-and-coming prospect.
