Adrian Durham has claimed Kieran Tierney is not the player Arsenal think he is - placing him BEHIND the likes of Enda Stevens and Aaron Cresswell in the Premier League left-back pecking order.
Tierney is one of the most accomplished full-backs in the English game at present. He's won four league titles with Celtic and is already well into double figures for international caps, despite only turning 23 in June.
After an injury-hit start to life at Arsenal he has hit the ground running under Mikel Arteta and has started all but one Premier League game this season.
Durham seems to pride himself on getting on the nerves of Scottish fans and has taken swipes at Ally McCoist and Fraser Forster in the past.
Now, the tiresome talkSPORT host says Tierney is 'fine' - but well behind some of English football's less significant left-backs.
"All the Arsenal fans think Kieran Tierney's a future captain and he's brilliant," he said on his Monday evening show.
"He's on a level with a Van Aanholt or a Luke Shaw, he's behind an Aaron Cresswell or an Enda Stevens, or a Castagne or a Matt Targett.
"He's way behind Reguillon and Digne, he's a million miles behind Chilwell and Robertson.
"Tierney's alright, he's OK, but he's not going to be the answer to all of Arsenal's problems yet all the fans think he is.
"This transmits to Arteta and he gets tripped up by it. He's meant to be learning on the job, but since when was a top manager meant to be learning on the job, and if he is learning on the job, who the hell is he learning from?"
