Kieran Tierney met with Rangers fans title taunts as Arsenal star is given '55 titles' reminder

Former Celtic star Kieran Tierney given plenty of stick by the 2000 Rangers fans making their return to Ibrox with footage emerging on social media.

Supporters have been locked out since the Europa League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in March 2020 but were back in the stands for the friendly against Arsenal.

They were making themselves heard throughout the clash they weren't about to let the the left-back, who played a key role in years of pain during Celtic 's dominant streak, off the hook.

The Gunners defender came off the bench in the second half to make his return to Govan and was booed as he ran on.

However, the stick didn't stop there with clips online showing that he diehard Celtic fan wasn't allowed to forget about Steven Gerrard 's title triumph last season.

During the half-time warm up chants of “Championes, championes, ole, ole, ole” to celebrate their title triumph last season.

They were then followed by “This is how it feels to be Rangers, 55 titles you know, Kieran Tierney won’t see 10 in a row."

The Athletic also state that "Here we go, 10 in a row" were jokingly heard from the sidelines.

On the pitch, Rangers went ahead through Leon Balogun before the English Premier League giants left-back Nuno Tavares equalised.

The hosts were back in front in the closing stages when Cedric Itten found the net but Eddie Nketiah bagged a leveller for the visitors.
