Kieran Tierney makes Arsenal debut as Celtic hero starts against Nottingham Forest

Former Celtic star Kieran Tierney will make his debut for Arsenal against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.

The left-back has been sidelined with a groin injury since his £25million move from Parkhead this summer.

But Celtic hero Tierney stepped up his recovery last week as he played for the U23s side against Wolves in a 2-2 draw.

And now he is set for his senior team bow with the Gunners after Unai Emery named the 22-year-old in his starting XI for tonight's clash.

Arsenal take on Forest at the Emirates in the third round as the Premier League side look to put a run of results together after an inconsistent start to the season.

Emery has decided to rotate his squad from the 3-2 win over Aston Villa at the weekend.

Hector Bellerin has been out for the best part of a year with a anterior cruciate ligament injury and has been named on the bench.
